  6. At the close of the IFIP General Assembly (GA) meeting in Toledo last
  7. September, IFIP President Academician Bl.Sendov completed his
  8. third year in office and turned over the gavel to his successor,
  9. Professor Asbjorn Rolstadas. The November 1992 issue of the IEEE
  10. Computer magazine, COMPUTER, carries a guest article by Rolstadas.
  11.  
  12. Probably the most significant single event at the GA was the change
  13. to the Statues and Bylaws to give voting rights to Technical Committee
  14. (TC) chairpersons. The TCs have long been recognized as being the core
  15. of IFIP, for they are charged with developing seminars, workshops,
  16. conferences, and books.
  17.  
  18. Of special interest to readers of the Internet Society Newsletter are
  19. the following events.
